When considering the technical infrastructure of unexpected flows of videographic texts (Lotz, Eklund, & Soroka, 2022), it is assumed that a deeper exploration is necessary regarding human actions within the emerging socio-cultural dynamics of the multi-platform audiovisual ecosystem. Building upon the imagistic approach of the Nordic noir subgenre, this study aims to apply analytical theoretical-methodological protocol (Escosteguy, 2007) in order to map the articulations between the production/ distribution of the series "The Chestnut Man" (2021) and its instances of appropriation/ interpretation in consumption, using for this the Cultural Circuit (Johnson, 2010; Hall, 2016). Therefore, it proposes an approach to audiovisual media linked to the idea of culture as a record of ways of life – an exploratory and analytical research, which seeks to comprehend the connections between emerging distribution dynamics for audiovisual collections and new mechanisms of expanding the communication process, through a combination of different methodological tools

Since its enactment in 2011, the LAI has represented an important initiative by the Brazilian federal government towards greater transparency, accountability, democracy and social participation. Since then, a wide range of studies has been interested in understanding its implementation in the context of Brazilian public administration. From a literature review, the objective was to understand what the advances and challenges of the implementation of LAI in the last decade were. It was observed that most studies seek to understand from the compliance dimension and there are still few debates involving the effects advances and main challenges of the implementation

The investigation focuses on the implications of appbooks' materiality on the experience of reading, considering, above all, the protocols of the digital book. The text advances by problematizing the relations that are woven in the constitution of the work to be read from the protocols of edition, authorship and the system, demarcated in the material bases of book objects. Concomitantly, it discusses the protocols in reading and in space that, in turn, tension the object and reading from the traces implied in book objectuality, thus promoting the broadening of the idea that reading, as an experience, transits between the predictable and the undetermined. Conceptual operators of book literature and media are articulated, notably, the notions about reading protocols and work in movement, approximating the notions about the computational pragmatics of new media. In an exploratory approach, based on the literature review, the text indicates that the protocols of the book-system, based on its predictive algorithms, are intensifying the predictability of the reader's choices and the very experience of reading itself, thus pointing to the tension between model and empirical readers, between the protocols of the system and the protocols in the reading, unveiling, furthermore, the disputes that are woven within the book work itself

Public and public access libraries are organized for the provision of a differentiated set of reading goods. They declare to be open institutions for the use of the public. We address the characteristics of the provision and uses of goods in public libraries, referring to the complexity of these characteristics. The theme of library economics and public reading needs to be deepened to build reflection and proposal on public policies of culture, including policies of public reading. We advance the need to understand some lines of economic thought about reading goods, the market, and valuation, sharing and enjoyment of cultural goods. We focus on the economy of public reading in Portugal and the provision of services and goods that propitiate their shared and/or common usage, while acknowledging that there may similarities with other locations and other areas of culture. We reflect on the current relevance of public policies for reading in libraries and on the need to think about public and common modes of provision of cultural goods and services

The article presents the results of a master's research on how imaginary algorithms are developed in the sale of books by Amazon, in Brazil. A theoretical study and an investigation were carried out divided into two fronts: the first refers to the analysis of the Amazon book sales page, in which the present mechanisms are verified and that can be part of the construction of the users' imaginaries. On the second front, we analyzed 1,065 tweets, which were distributed, non-exclusively, into four analysis categories. They are: 1) mobilization of the imaginary through the senses; 2) mobilization of the imaginary during the consumption relationship with Amazon; 3) user recognition of algorithmic actions; 4) referring to Amazon's logic in book sales. From these two analysis movements, united in the light of the adopted literature, the results of the research indicate that the company's operating logic marked by seduction and fluidity impact both on the algorithmic imaginary elaborated by the user, as well as on the mediation of knowledge and reading, endangering bibliodiversity. The lack of a critical position from users about this way of operating was also pointed out in this research

Taking as its motto the picture book Zoom, a classic by Hungarian Istvan Banyai originally published for the children's segment, the article discusses reading mediation in libraries based on dialectics, grounded mainly in historical materialism and historical-critical pedagogy. It constructs and presents the idea of reading mediation as a training process that must be committed to the participation of subjects in the written culture, the creation of conditions for the production of mediated knowledge, and, in broader terms, the ontological realization of subjects. It highlights the idea of dialectical mediation as a way to reflect on the mediating practice itself, in its singular, particular and universal dimensions, and as an alternative theoretical and practical approach to reader training that dialogues with understandings of mediation committed to human disalienation, formation, and emancipation

Considering comic books as informational resources, and comic book libraries (gibitecas) as information units, which contain in their collections several comics, this study aims to identify actions or events sponsored by these comic book libraries, oriented towards reading mediation, based on the information mediation dimensions as highlighted by Gomes (2014, 2017, 2019, 2020). A case study was chosen, having a qualitative and explanatory case study carried out on a few Brazilian comic book libraries, listing some of their activities and projects, aiming to highlight them as relevant initiatives towards reading mediation. Analyzing these initiatives, it can be seen that comic book libraries offer actions that can be classified as pertinent to information mediation, which also acts in favor of comics engagement and reading practices, adding to the reading mediator’s course of actions as professionals aware of their role regarding comics choices and approaches, as well as the readers, as reading information beneficiaries, favoring their formation as readers from different contexts and social realities, endorsing information introjection and to be conscious and active as social protagonists
