La Revista Médica del Uruguay (RMU) es la publicación científica oficial del Sindicato Médico del Uruguay (SMU) y fue fundada en agosto de 1974. Publica artículos referentes a temas en el ámbito de la medicina, funciona en régimen de arbitraje, esto es, los manuscritos enviados son evaluados primariamente por el Consejo Editorial y, cuando corresponda, sometidos a revisión por revisores expertos (árbitros) para su opinión y juicio. Adhiere a Recommendations for the conduct, reporting, editing and publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals, publicadas por The International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
The Revista Médica del Uruguay (RMU) is the official scientific publication of the Medical Union of Uruguay (SMU) and was founded in August 1974. It publishes articles referring to topics in the field of medicine, it works under an arbitration regime, that is, the submitted manuscripts are evaluated primarily by the Editorial Board and, when appropriate, submitted for review by expert reviewers (arbitrators) for their opinion and judgment.
The journal adheres to Recommendations for the conduct, reporting, editing and publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals, published by The International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
