Estudios y perspectivas en turismo es una publicación que analiza al turismo desde la óptica de las ciencias sociales y constituye un foro interdisciplinario para la expansión de las fronteras del conocimiento en la materia. Contiene artículos arbitrados anónimamente que versan sobre los variados aspectos del fenómeno turístico: económico, social, geográfico, antropológico, ecológico, psicológico, etc.
Estudios y Perspectivas en Turismo -Studies and Perspectives in Tourism- is a quarterly reviewed academic journal published in Spanish (with abstracts both in Spanish and English) which analyzes tourism from the perspective of Social Science. It provides an inter-disciplinary forum for the pursuit of knowledge in the tourism area. The first volume of "Studies and Perspectives in Tourism" appeared in 1992 and has done so regularly since then. Published articles focus on the various aspects of tourism: economic, social, geographical, anthropological, psychological etc. The journal is divided into main articles and regular sections, namely: Conference Reports, Publications in Review and Calendar of Events.
