Resumen
Self-regulated learning is an important variable in academic success. Protective factors may help adolescents exhibit self-regulated learning in high school. The objective of this study was to evaluate, in a structural equation model, the role played by perceived social and academic support, resilient disposition, and academic goals in self-regulated learning in adolescents. After providing informed consent, 227 high school students answered a Likert-scale questionnaire. The results revealed a model in which perceived social and academic support was associated with self-regulated learning and a resilient disposition. On the other hand, having a resilient disposition affected academic goals, and lastly, academic goals affected self-regulated learning. The positive effect of protective factors on self-regulated learning is discussed, as are the implications for educational programs.

Resumen
Considering that the attitudes have a great importance in the academic performance of the students, the elaboration and validation of an instrument to evaluate the attitudes towards university formation of students in Basic Sciences and Engineering is reported. The instrument was validated by experts and the internal consistency analysis reported a total Cronbach Alpha of 0.96. It was applied to a group of 123 students; factor analysis (Bartlett of 131.38 with p

Resumen
This work addresses content evaluation from a communicative evaluation approach and has three objectives: 1) Uncover the content of communicative evaluation from the perspective of education actors involved, 2) Identify the role of participants in selecting content to be evaluated, and 3) Identify content selection criteria. The Dialogic-Kishu Kimkelay Ta Che methodology was used, and dialogic conversation and collective dialogue were used to collect information in three cities: Concepción, Tomé, and Talca (Chile). To validate the data, it was categorized into transformative, conservative, and exclusionary dimensions. Relevant results suggest integrating and salvaging the social, cultural, and linguistic knowledge of communities evaluated, with the goal of enriching the content prescribed by the national curriculum.

Resumen
The aim of this descriptive study was to know the prevalence of academic sef-efficacy (ASE) in college students of a private university of in Lima. Participants were 730 psychology students (76.6% women) with ages between 16 and 47 years old (M = 20.72) from the 1st to the last year of college. As instrument we used the Scale of Specific Perceived Self-Efficacy of Academic Situations. The preliminary analysis was based on factor analysis, having as main objective to explore the measurement equivalence regarding gender and year of study. Results showed that the 17.4% of the participants have low- ASE, 61.2% medium- ASE, and the 21.4% high- ASE. Male participants reported more ASE than their peer females, and the 5th-year students have more ASE than 1st-year students.

Resumen
The present investigation aims to identify the factors related to the integration of the Inclusion and Digital Literacy Program (IDLP or PIAD in Spanish) in the activities carried out by elementary school teachers in Mexican public institutes. To that end, a quantitative methodology with an explanatory scope was used, along with a sample size of 203 teachers from a county south of the state of Sonora, Mexico. Four remaining factors from the theoretical review (educative, personal, pragmatic and contextual) were measured and the results obtained show that the variables associated to the personal factor of the professor are those that are able to explain and impact to a greater degree the integration of the program. It concludes the presence of a manifested necessity in regards to the reformulation and development of capacitation programs and awareness over the impact of technology and the benefits that it brings with the purpose of accomplishing the learning process.

Resumen
The purpose of this article is to present future educators’ perception of the need for, use of, and importance of implementing ICT, and the training required for teaching practices that use technological tools. The study followed a qualitative approach, and is descriptive in scope with a cross-sectional design that includes quantitative data collection. Information was collected through a questionnaire and focus groups. The population comprised 175 undergraduate students of early childhood education, with a stratified random sample of 100 students. The main finding is that although the students surveyed are digital natives from the Millennial generation, when reflecting on their professional practice they did not see technology as having potential as an educational tool, which may be considered an obstacle for teaching.

Resumen
A method of automatic formation of collaborative groups that uses the lexical availability tests to select the group members is proposed. The method is based on the comparison of lexicons and lexical availability analyses approaches using a sample of 394 students. The evaluation of the suggested method was carried out through a case study with 18 students in a collaborative activity. The results show that in higher-complex activities the groups assigned through the suggested method spend less time to answer and generate more synthetic responses and, therefore, of better quality. It can be concluded that it is feasible to make collaborative groups based on the quantification of the levels of interaction and communication reflected in the characteristics of the group members’ lexical availability.

Resumen
This study sought to determine the effect of a virtual forum, as a mediation strategy, on learning differential calculus content associated with limits and continuity of functions among first-semester computer engineering students in a Venezuelan university. The research was quantitative and used a retest-posttest quasi-experimental design with an experimental and a control group. An intra-group analysis based on a Student’s t-test found that the forum strategy had an effect on the experimental group’s learning, while the traditional strategy based on face-to-face activities had no effect on the control group’s learning. However, the intra-group analysis found no significant differences between both groups’ posttests, suggesting a need to review the way the forum is implemented to improve learning outcomes in mathematics in the future.

Resumen
Competencies have been the subject of considerable discussion in pedagogy, particularly in relation to the mandate of the education system. In the last decade, a different view has emerged, from a capability and human development approach. On the one hand, this paper seeks to question the sense of a competency-based approach to education and, on the other hand, present the capability approach as an opportunity to establish a humanistic and alternative view of education. Thus, by using the hermeneutic arc as a methodological approach –
specifically the “explaining” and “understanding” processes described by Ricœur – a critical conceptualization of competencies is described in order to show that people are subjects of capabilities rather than competencies. It is concluded that any educational endeavor that pursues human development must be firmly rooted in the realization of people as subjects-agents of capabilities.

Resumen
This paper seeks to explain academic achievement in Mathematics based on individual student characteristics. The study takes the case of Paraguay, a country below the regional average in recent international assessments of learning achievement in mathematics by basic-level students (students in Educación Escolar Básica). A questionnaire was administered to 899 students of the third cycle of basic-level education (7th, 8th, and 9th grades) from both public and private schools in the district of Concepción. Two statistical modeling techniques were employed on observable variables: decision trees and multiple linear regression. It is concluded that academic achievement in mathematics is largely explained by students’ learning in a classroom setting and perception of their own ability.
