Resumen
In the 60’s and70’s a series of experimental proposals took place in Spain that merged with the current international interests of that time in search of a new technological repertoire leaning towards the “lightness, transformability” and “ interaction with the environment”.
The figures that focus the debate around light structures are José Miguel de la Prada Poole, leading the development of “pneumatic structures” and Emilio Pérez Piñero whose“unfolding structures” places Spain at the head of innovation. From the 70’s there is a progressive shift in the interest from structural systems towards architecture able to react to environmental stimulus. New lines of experimentation “atmospheric valves” and “architecture of regulation”, represented by José Miguel de Prada Poole and Juan Navarro Baldeweg, present a utopic component and look for a relationship of immediacy between man and environment.
It involves recognised proposals for the technological contributions that were excluded from the current intellectual debate. This research aims to reveal the imaginary developed by Spanish architects around new habitable spaces in an experimental way in relation with environment and register it in the framework of a global culture.

Resumen
Expositions are not autonomous or homogeneous events, on the contrary, their development constitutes the plot of a discontinuous history, the mirror of a society in evolution that experiences its rules and its paradigms, showing them to the society. Through cartography and specific bibliography, in addition to the personal experiences of the authors, the events of Hannover (2000) that marks the beginning of the exhibitions of this century, Shanghai (2010), and Milan (2015) are analyzed. The aim is to understand the role and effects that exhibition events have on the transformation of the city and the territory, at a time when a renewed concern about the future of cities exists, subject to great tensions and demands. The land destined to these events is a link to join preexisting scattered urban fragments or to create new centralities, always with the result of increasing the metropolitan area thanks to the huge investments that exhibitions catalyze. The policies and strategies employed so far including sustainability and resilience, have varied in recent decades, but the results do not seem to provide evidence that any major event has been able to satisfactorily resolve the problems of fragility originated by urban pressures on the border between nature and built space, nor the permanent–temporal dichotomy that reach a key relevance in the planning of events.

Resumen
The purpose of this paper is to analyse the relationships between nature, identity and architecture through the pavilions of three countries, great exponents of Latin American modern movement at a key time of international political tension, renewed technological optimism and local revisions of architectural modernity. The aim is to establish its position against nature imaginaries, through the comparison of institutional, curatorial and architectural discourses, in an event dedicated to a new humanism under atomic energy power that was inspiring and threatening at the same time. The result of this research is the demonstration of the tension between the foundational myth of the ungraspable territorial, the need for the abstraction of the new architecture and the economical exploitation. This article documents and illustrates the nature presented and represented in the architecture and the objects exhibited under the three Latin American roofs, sometimes in clear contradiction — idealized and exploited nature for the construction of the imaginary of the young nations.

Resumen
Two central elements converge in the heritage values of Spain’s colonisation settlements in general and of those in the Los Monegros region in particular: the notion of the single unit and the fusion of modernity and tradition. Materials play an important role in both aspects. This analysis seeks to identify the values in the original projects that are essential in order to recognise colonisation settlements as examples of architectural and urban heritage. The premise of this analysis is that the materials used to build these towns and villages have inherent value and, as such, must be maintained and conserved.
This paper forms part of a larger research framework, a doctoral thesis currently underway, in which the present conditions, degree of conservation and causes of deterioration observed in the colonisation settlements of Los Monegros are being analysed. After a series of general reflections on the architectural heritage of the materials, and after subsequent study of their current condition of the materials, guidelines are proposed for the improvement of their conservation. A series of possible criteria are also set out that can serve as a guide for any interventions to be made to the architectural heritage of these settlements, which are part of the overall history of Spain’s agrarian colonisation project.

Resumen
Great events and, in particular, International Exhibitions leave deep legacy in the urbanism of the host cities. Expo 2008 was the opportunity to transform the whole city of Zaragoza and particularly the banks of the Ebro river, object of this article. Three key concepts summarize the legacy of Expo 2008 on the banks of the Ebro: the quality of urban design, infrastructures and equipment; the considerate diversity of the urban and landscape project; and sustainability in terms of energy efficiency and exchange between natural and social ecosystem elements. After 10 years since its construction, the long-term urban assets of Expo 2008 are analyzed and evaluated, with special emphasis on the banks revitalization of the Ebro as a strategy to improve quality and urban cohesion.

Resumen
It is tackled the study of three ephemeral events that took place in the most theatrical urban space of the city of Venice: the short life of a fountain built on Piazza di San Marco in 1884, the unexpected fall of the Campanile in 1902 and the multitudinous concert that Pink Floyd gave on a floating stage in 1989. It is argued that each of these three events uncovered a series of issues relating to the treatment of architectural and urban heritage that will mark the future of the image of The City of Canals.

Resumen
The aim of this study was to examine the relations of academic achievement, self-efficacy, and perfectionism with procrastination in University students, and to examine whether procrastination can be predicted by academic achievement, self-efficacy, and perfectionism dimensions. 227 University students from different faculties completed Tuckmans' procrastination scale, Almost Perfect Scale – Revised (APS-R; Slaney Rice, Mobley, Trippi, & Ashby, 2001) and General self-Efficacy Scale (GSE; Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1995), as well as data about academic achievement at the end of last academic year. Results have shown negative correlations of academic achievement, self-efficacy and adaptive perfectionism with procrastination, and a positive correlation between maladaptive perfectionism and procrastination. Results have also shown that self-efficacy is positively correlated with adaptive perfectionism and negatively with maladaptive perfectionism. Maladaptive perfectionism was a positive predictor of procrastination, while academic achievement, self-efficacy and adaptive perfectionism were all negative predictors. Finally, we used Hayes bootstrapping method to examine possible mediations. The results have shown that self-efficacy, by its self, is not a significant mediator, while paths containing self-efficacy and adaptive or maladaptive perfectionism mediate the relation between academic achievement and procrastination. Furthermore, both adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism mediated the relation between self-efficacy and procrastination.

Resumen
The current study aims to assess the effectiveness of a program based on a multi-sensory strategy in developing of visual perception for primary school learners with learning disabilities. The study employed the quasi-experimental method on the experimental group of learners. A training program based on multi-sensory strategy was employed on a group of third and fourth graders (n = 30) who were exposed to draw upon their sensorimotor memories and familiarities to recognize the mentally stimulating texts. The other group of 30 learners i.e. the control group was exposed to the regular reading comprehension instructions. Pre-to-post test differences were examined in terms of the learners’ visual perception to evaluate the teaching’s effectiveness. The results illustrates that there is a difference in the level of visual perception skills of the learners of both groups. And the differences were in favor of multi-sensory strategy. The findings of this study suggest that it is constructive for learners to connect their sensorimotor experiences to the text/or the reading materials they are exposed to.

Resumen
This study further extends a theoretical model of psychological empowerment by investigating the relationships between self-efficacy, self-confidence and self-esteem. A sample of by 383 of Malaysian undergraduates participating in Work Integrated Learning (WIL)programmes across five public universities is used to test the model employing partial-least squares based structural equation modelling .The results have demonstrated that self-efficacy and self-esteem have a positive and significant relationship with self-confidence. This study also confirms the moderating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between self-efficacy and self-confidence. Furthermore, the findings of this study provide insight of the influence of WIL programmes on the undergraduates’ psychological attributes. These findings have implications for WIL stakeholders, which are highlighted in the paper.

Resumen
This study examines the complexities of the social learning environment in middle school physical education. Specifically, we investigate the independent and interactive predictive effects of situational interest and needs supportive teaching on students’ personal interest and class engagement. Middle school students (N = 388) in compulsory physical education courses completed questionnaires on situational interest, needs supportive teaching, personal interest, and behavioral and emotional engagement. Results from structural equation modeling tests revealed independent predictive effects of situational interest and needs supportive teaching on personal interest, and behavioral and emotional engagement. There was also an interactive effect between situational interest and needs supportive teaching on personal interest. This association was conditional on a minimum level of needs support in the social learning environment. To date, the conceptualization of situational interest has focused on student – activity interactions; however, our findings highlight the importance of social learning environment on student – activity interactions.
