Resumen
This article presents the results of a review of the literature on the role of international organizations in the establishment of the teacher professionalization policies of the Pedagogical Schools in Mexico. The databases Google Scholar, Dialnet, Redalyc, SciELO, and Latindex from 1984 to 2018 were used. The selection included mainly qualitative empirical trials or studies, although quantitative ones were not ruled out. Teacher professionalization policies have been designed from the perspective of human capital, the New Public Management (NPM) and managerialism. The purpose was to identify the educational policies that have been promoted in Mexico to professionalize teachers in Pedagogical Schools and compare the actions that have been carried out with the principles of the NPM. In Mexico, five teacher professionalization programs were created. The most prominent is the Teacher Professional Development Program. The exploration revealed that these policies have been designed, developed and evaluated from the principles of the NPM, in them, it is established that the State must give way to managerial approach so that they control the dynamics of the processes of public administration.

Resumen
To promote sustainability in universities a diagnostic is required to generate comprehensive strategies. The purpose of this research was to design and validate an instrument that limits the degree of attention to university students, regarding sustainability. For its design, an analysis of the concept was carried out, as well as contributions and instruments. For its validation it was subjected to a review by five experts. Later a trial process was applied under 16 expert judges who evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively the pertinence and writing of the items. To define the reliability and adequacy in understanding, it was applied to a pilot group of 61 students. In its first review, the instrument was approved by the experts and made suggestions for inclusion of the socioeconomic impact dimension; the judges endorsed the validity of the item content (Aiken´s V> 0.75, LCI> 0.50). The pilot group evaluated the comprehension of items and instructions as excellent. An optimal reliability value was also obtained (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.8890). It is concluded that the instrument is valid in content, reliable and affordable to monitor and evaluate the environmental and sustainability perception in university students.

Resumen
The purpose of this document is to show certain guidelines of education based on coexistence and some of the problems that arise when trying to implement it in a culture that privileges competition. As a reference, it takes into account the report made to UNESCO by the International Commission on Education for the 21st Century, chaired by Jacques Delors, which establishes the four pillars of education, bringing to our attention the pillar about learning to live together. For this task, we require Analogical Hermeneutics as attitude and method, since it has in its essence an intermediate way that avoids absolutist or relativist interpretations. This analysis concludes that an analogical vision allows to grant clarity regarding the needs that must be reconciled in education: To learn technical skills to perform well in the current world; and, to learn social-emotional skills centered on teamwork, cooperation, respect and affection for others.

Resumen
The objective of this article is to show the analysis of theoretical and methodological research trends in the area of theory, philosophy, history, the historiography of education, and research on educational research. The analysis was made through the papers presented in two conferences of educational research organized by the Network of Educational Researchers in Chihuahua. The participating institutions are considered through the work profile of the authors, the work mechanics developed in the congresses and finally a theoretical approach centered on the paradigms of historical research, identifying the elements present in the papers of history and historiography of the education, whether from historicism, French School Annales, interdisciplinarity or the critical paradigm of history.

Resumen
The role of research in vocational training is essential in the process of producing and forming new knowledge; in the Faculty of Education, Humanities and Technologies of the National University of Chimborazo, Ecuador. The population was constituted by 57 professors, of which 34 were sampled. The diagnosis offered elements to design a strategy for conducting and executing the research process. The satisfaction technique establishes that the group satisfaction index was “Satisfactory”.

Resumen
This reflective, descriptive and exploratory work presents the construction of an evaluation instrument for learning management systems (LMS), according to design and learning parameters, which was used to evaluate Chamilo and Google Classroom. This evaluation was developed in three stages: 1) the materials of an existing course were uploaded to both LMS, and a narrative appreciation of the experiences was documented; 2) a list of advantages and disadvantages was elaborated; and, 3) the instrument that was designed from the specialized literature and the preceding stages was applied. We found that Classroom got slightly better results than Chamilo and that the advantages and disadvantages of each LMS are partly related to their own characteristics. Despite the limitations of the research design used and that we only report professors’ point of view, this approach can contribute for to develop further evaluation parameters that can be applied to other LMS.

Resumen
The use of symbols and letters in secondary education is considered one of the obstacles in learning algebra, justified by the almost nonexistent understanding of the manipulation of algebraic symbolism. This is one of the reasons that prompted the initiative for the development of forms of algebraic thinking in primary education, seeking to favor the transition to secondary school mathematics by explicitly explaining the algebraic nature of basic mathematics. However, this implies training teachers at this educational level to face this introduction and development. The qualitative and exploratory study reported provides evidence of the mathematical activity that future teachers in training perform when solving tasks that involve algebraic symbolism. Analysis criteria related to relational thinking and meaning of literals were used to describe and categorize said mathematical activity. The results indicate that future teachers resort more frequently to particular cases and specific operations to tackle the tasks. This implies a change in the mathematical framework that teachers develop during their training.

Resumen
The Peace Process brought forward between the Colombian government and the FARC-EP guerrilla group demanded a new understanding of the internal conflict that Colombia has been living in since the second half of the last century. Within the formative options that were pronounced on this political conjuncture, it is worth mentioning the non-formal education processes that arise within communities and which reflect the thematic and pedagogical interests of their participants. The Post-Conflict Diploma Course (Medellín, 2016) is a milestone in education for peace, as it was managed as part of the Local Planning and Participatory Budgeting Program, a democratic tool that allows communities to prioritize resources for intervention in their most pressing problems. This educational scenario was built on the guidelines of the SFCP, which is based on critical and social pedagogies, and on the approach of capability and skills development of the subjects in formation.

Resumen
The fruit and vegetable sector in Ecuador has shown promising performance in domestic and international markets. Equally, this sector has faced problems of a social, economic and productive nature in its structure and articulations, which until now require intervention. The case of the agri-food network of the tomato tree, located in the central Andean area of the country, is one of the many examples of the mentioned sector; in this sense, the present study shows the main social and productive characteristics, its horizontal and vertical configuration; and the proposal of strategies focused on improving their productive performance. The study applied a systemic methodology aimed at the identification and characterization of stages, agents and activities (primary and support), and the analysis of the governance mechanisms of the network. The study concluded that on the one hand, the inclusion of women, the sense of associativity of processors and distributors, and the training of producers on issues related to post-harvest, and good agricultural practices would meaningfully improve the economic performance of the network and, conversely, they would incentivize a greater participation of the agents involved. To conclude, it was deduced that the network requires increasing the area assigned to the tomato tree crop and the application of greenhouse production systems that increase yields.
