Resumen
This research seeks to understand whether students involved in bullying are also involved in bullying in teacher-student interaction, and determine if there are differences by sex. In this descriptive, cross-sectional study, which included a total of 5,762 Mexican students from 37 schools (elementary and junior high), instruments were employed to measure the variables “bullying” and “teacher-student violence.” A cluster analysis was performed to gain insight into bullying involvement roles, followed by a comparison of means (factors of the instrument used to measure violence in teacher-student interaction). The results show that students involved in episodes of bullying (as a bully or as a bully-victim) are also involved in violence in their relationships with teachers, demonstrating a link between bullying and teacher-student violence. The research identifies a need to create programs that include strategies to promote harmonious relationships between teachers and students.

Resumen
Mucous membrane pemphigoid is a subepithelial, inflammatory, autoimmune blistering disorder that affects the body’s mucous membranes. Most of the cases appear in the oral mucosa. Corticosteroids and antimicrobials are the election treatment. This article describes the efficacy of 0.2% hyaluronic acid gel in mucous membrane pemphigoid. We report a case of a 57-year-old female patient with rheumatoid arthritis and mucous membrane pemphigoid in the upper and lower lips with three months of evolution. Lesions were treated with 0.2% hyaluronic acid gel, obtaining excellent results. The treatment of hyaluronic acid to mucous membrane pemphigoid demonstrated effectiveness in reducing inflammation, pain, and healing of the mucosa, without the need to suspend or adjust the dose of the drugs.

Resumen
Research competence is essential for basic scientific literacy; if trained from early childhood, it enhances the ability of the learner to elaborate explanations, stemming from inquiry and following theoretical construction. So far, most of the research devoted on teachers’ research competence has been focused on theoretical questions. Thus, the objective of this work is to get 208 student teachers to estimate their research competence and to compare it to their actual performance. Students' perceptions were measured using a questionnaire that referred to the skills and abilities included in the research competence. Their real performance was assessed through four specific tasks, which mobilized the four types of thinking required for the development of this competence: comprehensive, critical, creative and metacognitive. The results show that students' beliefs do not generally adjust to their real performance and that therefore they are unaware of their training needs, which is essential for learning to learn.

Resumen
This study examines forms of coping with sources of academic tension, as assessed by an adaptation of the Multidimensional Measure of Coping (MMA, in Spanish), an instrument that identifies how adolescents respond to the challenges of education. The adaptation of the MMA involved a sample of 1,602 Colombian adolescents (mean age = 12.8; standard deviation = .98), including both male (49.2%) and female students from public (73.2%) and private schools. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to establish the validity of the instrument. The correlations calculated were used to evaluate the convergent and discriminant validity of the MMA scales, with “school adjustment” used as a contrast variable. Measurement invariance was addressed in a multi-group comparison. The indicators yielded by this research are adequate to consider the reported adaptation of the MMA valid and reliable for the sample studied.

Resumen
The teaching of dentistry changed. The effects of the pandemic, the virtualization of contents, and students belonging to Generation Z, demand for student-centered teaching where the classic teacher-centered learning is transformed into a student-centered education approach using didactic strategies like gamification. In this article, an experience carried out among fifth semester dental students is shared, using the resources of gamification to generate a meaningful teaching, leaving aside the master classes, and migrating to more efficient and effective student-centered learning models that generate a real commitment and motivation. Likewise, the perception of the students about the activity is shared.

Resumen
Taurodontism is a dental anomaly, so it has clinical implications in different areas of dentistry. Objective: To evaluate taurodontism in panoramic radiographs in a Peruvian population. Material and Methods: 220 digital panoramic radiographs were evaluated in which the type of taurodontism was classified in permanent first molars according to the Shifman and Chanannel method. Observations were recorded on a data sheet. Results: 51% belonged to males and 49% to females. The frequency of taurodontism, according to sex, was higher in men in 24%, and in women it was 20%. The most frequent type of taurodontism was hypotaurodontism in 80%. The most frequent location and first molar was the upper jaw with 68% and the upper left molar with 37%, respectively. Conclusion: The evaluation of taurodontism in digital panoramic radiographs was characterized by being more frequent in men, in terms of type and location, hypotaurodontism and maxilla, respectively, were more frequent. Furthermore, it was characterized by being more frequent in the upper first molars on the left side.

Resumen
This article presents the results of a study on the influence that translating into one’s mother tongue has on the written communication of students in bilingual intercultural schools in the province of Andahuaylas (Apurímac, Peru). An experiment was designed with five teaching modules that used examples in the Quechua language and a methodology based on the translation of words, phrases, sentences, and text into the students’ native language. The sample comprised 97 students from two schools; the research employed a descriptive statistical analysis and a Pearson’s correlation test with a significance level of α = 0.05, performed with the statistical package SPSS 25. It was found that the only significant correlation was between the translation of words and phrases (p-value < 0.05), and this correlation was very strong and positive (R > 0.90). The study concludes that translation from a second language (Spanish) into a native language (Quechua) has a positive impact on the development of students’ written communication skills.

Resumen
This paper presents the results of a comparative study that seeks to identify conceptions of the importance of four types of formal content in history teaching (periods of history, cross-cutting themes in history, history of places, and national historical processes) among a group of Colombian (M = 764) and Spanish (N = 648) students in the last year of compulsory education in the cities of Bogotá and Murcia, respectively. A descriptive approach was followed based on a closed-ended questionnaire relating to historical consciousness, with item responses measured on a Likert scale. The results support the idea that the interest shown by students in the formal content proposed is an indicator that calls for a critical review of the structure and organization of history curricula in the two contexts studied.

Resumen
Reading and writing are the working tools of professionals in today’s literate communities. This research assesses the reading comprehension (RC) of higher education students about to graduate. The sample was made up of students from various public universities in the state of Sonora (Mexico). An instrument was designed for the express purpose of determining whether there were differences by student discipline or area of knowledge. The analysis employed the SPSS and NVivo programs. The findings show a need to strengthen reading comprehension, and in particular, demonstrate the significant influence of health sciences, where students exhibited higher levels of RC than those in other areas. Generally, it was found that to improve learning, more consideration should be given to reading practices across all education programs.
