Through the study of Watchmen in its 3 formats: comic, film and series, a dialogue with psychoanalysis is proposed, in order to extract readings that allow us to think about the time, characterized by the threat of cataclysms and large-scale war conflicts, in the framework of a generalized pandemic with its consequent impact on the population. The fantasy of the end of the world, present in Watchmen, is sustained by a common, trans-historical denominator: the object of jouissance, singular for each subject and, therefore, inseparable from his own history. On the one hand, the segregative effects to which the object as a kakón can lead are considered. On the other hand, it is evident how the series moves the bowels of the reactive field to which post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has been circumscribed. As a counterpart, two key concepts are placed in view of the loss of the object: of satisfaction, in the trauma in its two times, and of love, in the duel, which will allow us to return to a reading of the epoch, when it became, not only as an impact, but mainly as an effect of the unique narratives of people’s lives.

This article is based on the series The Handmaid’s Tale (Miller, 2017), as a starting point to inquire about the proliferation of dystopian fictions in contemporary audiovisual productions, currently postulated as symptom and treatment of horror. Starting from the pain of existing inherent to the subjects of language, both mourning and melancholia are outlined as possible responses to the traumatic, either due to the very incidence of language on the body, or due to the events and contingencies to which it is related. it is exposed in a singular life and in society. A position that does not reject the trauma allows a mode of treatment to be delineated; that a desire and an ethical subject can arise there, to the detriment of the risk of its own disappearance.

From the characters of Joel and Clementine in Eternal sunshine of spotless mind, an approach is made from psychoanalysis on memories, forgetting, time, the relevance of the elaboration of a duel and some brief coordinates on the malaise of the time, the discourse of science and its effects.

This research focused on the content and nature of teachers’ advice networks and the process and characteristics of emergent leaders. We particularly worked on the content, frequency and results of teachers’ advice-receiving patterns as well as personal traits, competences and sources of power that made emergent leaders. Data were collected from the staff of three high schools located in Van, Turkey. We analyzed interview data via social network analysis software and content analysis. We found that teachers needed peer advice more on bureaucratic processes and they preferred teachers who were more experienced. Emergent leaders were high in referent, expert, information and connection power; they were also found to be dominant in personality traits like being honest, reliable, responsible, well-intentioned, fatherly and social.

The present work aimed to establish whether there is a relationship between social support and depression in family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's, as well as to specify the effects and ways in which social support contributes to a better psychosocial state of the caregiver. A systematic review with meta-analysis was carried out, using the CMA software. The combined correlation coefficient, total sample size and confidence interval (95%) were studied. Statistical heterogeneity was analyzed with the degree of inconsistency (I2) and the p-value of Q. The p-value of Egger's test and the Funnel plot were used for publication bias. Robustness was studied using sensitivity analysis. The combined r of the Forest plot was -.332. In statistical heterogeneity, a Q of 10.54 was found, p = 4. For publication bias, the risk was low after reviewing the symmetry of the Funnel plot together with the Egger test, p = 0.8 and the sensitivity of the result. it was 4.5 %. In conclusion, it was found that social support, when it meets a series of requirements, reduces depression in caregivers of Alzheimer's patients. However, more research is required to identify what type of social support is needed in different types of caregivers and circumstances.

Emotional intelligence (EI) and regulation strategies are relevant personal resources for the prevention of eating disorders (ED). Specifically, maladaptive cognitive emotional regulation strategies (CERS) are positively associated with ED criteria. However, no studies have yet analyzed the potential mediating role of CERS in the relationship between EI and ED. Therefore, our objective was to analyze the mediating role of CERS between EI and ED. The sample consisted of 516 Spanish adults from a community and university population. They completed a battery administered online that included measures of EI, CERS and symptoms of ED. Our results showed that high levels of EI were positively associated with adaptive CERS and negatively with maladaptive CERS and ED symptoms. Additionally, mediation analyzes showed that maladaptive CERS mediated the relationship between EI and ED symptoms. These findings suggest that people high in EI may report fewer ED symptoms, in part due to less use of maladaptive CERS. Finally, the implications for evaluating and improving these psychological resources in ED prevention and treatment programs are discussed.
