This paper is part of a self-managed research project that has been conducted since 2008 in section 1 of the primary level of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our purpose is to research, retrieve and learn about, from the perspective of Gender studies and Southern Feminism, the assessment and meaning given by teachers and school principals and administrators to the Comprehensive Sex Education Act 26150 (ESI, from its name in Spanish) and its implementation. We present a qualitative analysis of two semi-structured interviews with two members of the management and supervising team. Taking into account their careers and roles as educational advisors, we seek to learn how they perceive and assess the inclusion of ESI curricular contents inprimary school in the teaching plans, how those contents are articulated with those prescribed by the curricula for each area and year, what representations and meanings teachers assign to these topics and their teaching, and which strengths and weaknesses teachers find when implementing ESI in the classroom.

This article shows the construction of an Open Educational Resource for teaching the structure of the first person of the present simple affirmative in English for students of early school grades seeking to integrate pedagogical elements during technological development. Experimental research work was carried out with a methodology under development based on the phases of the software life cycle. The resulting resource was applied to 15 students and 5 teachers from a private school in the State of Mexico. The results obtained were divided into two types: 1) quantitative, measured by the System Usability Scale, which yielded a level of usability of 96.5 on the side of teachers and 90.3 on the part of children, as well as scores between 8 and 10 in the subject studied, and 2) qualitative, which gathered the users' views on the system. Thus, we identified some positive effects of incorporating didactic aspects in software development during the teaching-learning process were identified.

Behavioral finance is a relatively new aspect of finance, based on the assumption of irrationality in decision making. It is constructed and influenced by the knowledge, skills, abilities, aptitudes, and conditions of the environment in which the economic entity develops. The aim of this study was to analyze economic and behavioral elements in order to identify the factors underlyingthe behavior of young university students in regard to their finances. To this end, we applied an instrument to 3,600 students in the economic-administrative area of higher education institutions in six Mexican states, and conducted an analysis of indicators on a dichotomous, nominal, and ordinal scale, applying a multiple regression model based on the construction of three latent variables. This allowed us to identify a positive relationship between financial education, socioeconomic and psychological factors regarding financial behavior. Based on the resulting weights, we observed that the financial behavior of students is not satisfactory, and concluded that such strategic axes should be promoted effectively in order to help young people and society at large to make financial decisions.

Return migration has acquired relevance among scholars in Mexico, a fact attributable to a historical increase in migration dynamics, particularly with the United States. In the last few years, the issue of Mexican returnees has severely intensified as a result of restrictive immigration policies in the receiving countries. This paper aims to explore the problem faced by Mexican returnees when they try to access the national education system through the lens of transnational migration, first by discussing the available literature on return migration in Mexico and then through a qualitative approach based on a documental review of public policies in Mexico and in the state of Hidalgo aimed towards educational inclusion. Finally, our findings suggest that Mexican authorities have deployed a number of merely palliative policies that so far have not achieved their aims.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the flower morphological characteristics and analyze the growth parameters for cut-flower of three sunflower hybrid cultivars (Helianthus annuus L.), coming from open field cultivation. Hybrid cultivars Vicent Choice, Sunrich Orange and SM-373 were evaluated in a Complete Block Design with four replicates. The cycle of sunflower cultivation was finalized at 40% flower opening, which occurred at 53 days after planting for Vicent Choice, 55 days for Sunrich Orange and 63 days for SM-373. In this study, the three hybrid cultivars stem length average was 87.36 cm. The growth dynamic of the three varieties was adjusted to a quadratic model, in which the stem yielded in average 50.12% of dry matter, and the Vicent Choice hybrid cultivar recorded the highest total dry matter accumulation (42.54g). Flowering was the development stage with highest photosynthetic efficacy, the average foliar area index of the three varieties was 1.33 at 46 days after planting, and Vicent Choice produced 679 exportable stems, representing 70.72% of the study's total production.

This study based on a literature review generated a document that is oriented to demonstrate the importance of crop association for sustainable agriculture. The planting of associated species has been done since ancient times in Latin America and today, it is still possible to identify it in different territories with a predominance of peasant agriculture. This logic of land valorization can be applied with different arrangements based on short-cycle crops, perennial crops, horticultural species, pastures, trees and even the incorporation of livestock. The main benefits of these land use systems compared to monoculture systems are related to improved efficiency of natural resource use (land and water), higher product yields, increased income, climate change mitigation (due to increased carbon storage capacity), reduction of pest and pathogen populations, promotion of biological control, increased population diversity of beneficial macro and microorganisms as well as improved soil fertility. Although most of the results demonstrate the advantages of this innovation, the need to generate integral results that reinforce the planning of this proposal as a highly viable food production alternative is highlighted.

This contribution proposes to identify and analyze how local social actors relate to their forests and perceive the effects of soil and water conservation actions carried out in the region, in order to generate recommendations for the design and implementation of more assertive actions regarding local needs and demands. The study was carried out in the Ichupio micro-basin, belonging to the Lake Pátzcuaro basin, Michoacán state, México. The results indicate potential conflicts between communities over forests use, the absence of social organization for the establishment of a sustainable forest management plan, as well as observations by the local population, to the implementation of conservation actions. It concludes by arguing about the need to rethink the strategies of conservation actions, from an effective territorialization, in order to attack the causes of the problem and not only its symptoms, so that they can really fulfill their mandate to recover and preserve the base of natural resources.

Low yield of corn in Paraguay can be mitigated with the proper fertilization and fertilization management, including the incorporation of green manure such as mucuna ash (Mucuna pruriens). The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the phosphate fertilization on the agronomic performance of maize variety Dkb 290, cultivated with mucuna ash incorporated with the soil and as soil cover. The experiment consisted of a factorial 2 x 5, arranged in a Split-Plot Experimental Design with four replications. In the main plot was arranged the mucuna applications (incorporated with the soil or as soil cover) and the sub-plots were arranged the phosphate fertilizer (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 P kg ha-1). The experimental unit consisted of a plot of 14 m2. Plant height, fresh matter content, grains per plant, yield and weight of 1000 grains were evaluated. Data were subjected to ANOVA and mean differences were stablished with the Tukey 5% test. The results indicate that plant height was not influenced by the factors under study, neither interactions among factors were detected. Interaction effects were clearly detected between the form of use of mucuna ash and the applied phosphorus doses for fresh matter content, grains per plant, yield and weight of 1000 grains. The best results were obtained with treatments of incorporated mucuna ash with 75 kg P ha-1 for fresh matter content and yield, and mucuna ash as soil cover with 50 kg P ha-1 for weight of 1000 grains. Based on results of this study, the application of mucuna ash incorporated with the soil with 75 kg P ha-1 is recommended.

This research work indicates the results of two touristic proposals for the ecuadorian company, Wikiri (a private company dedicated to the sustainable biotrade of amphibian species from Ecuador). The first proposal corresponded to the redesign of the environmental interpretation trail existing in Wikiri for the in situ observation of amphibians; the second proposal corresponded to the application of recreational tools to determine the knowledge level acquired by visitors at the end of the tours in the company and, above all, to create a critical thinking about environmental conservation. The research was carried out under a mixed approach, with the application of a survey, interviews, bibliographic search and field visits. For this, 92 responses were obtained from people who have visited the Wikiri facilities. The obtained results show the diagnosis of the visitors to the company, the visitors profile and their interest, the current state of the trail in order to propose its redesign with its respective signage. These are key aspects on which the company should focus to increase the number of visits. Finally, the ideal playful tools were determined, to be applied at Wikiri Frogpark to evaluate the knowledge acquired by its visitors.

The research was carried out in the municipality of Zinacantán, Chiapas, Mexico, in an area of rose’s production in plastic greenhouses, located at 16° 45′ 35″ N latitude, 92° 43′ 20″ W and at an altitude of 2162 masl. The climate is dub-humid temperate with rains in summer, the temperature reaches an average of 21 °C and the accumulated annual average precipitation is 599 mm. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect on plant growth of Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) sprayed under two doses (10 % and 20 %) and two spraying frequencies (every 8 and every 15 days). The four treatments were evaluated under the conventional rose crop management, and one control of conventional crop management and another control of ecological crop management were included. The six treatments were set up in a completely randomized design, each treatment consisting of a seedbed, where two rows of rose plants were planted under a three-point planting system, each bed containing a total of 530 plants. The results indicate that the bio-fertilizer MMA at doses of 20 % sprayed every 15 days, and the MMA at doses of 20 % sprayed every 8 days were statistically superior, for stem length, stem diameter, number of leaves, length of leaves, width of leaves, flower size, and shelf life. Therefore, it is concluded that MMA at 20 % dose improves rose production indicators under greenhouse conditions.
