Resumen
This study aims to determine, first, what are the reasons that lead young people to abandon physical and sport practice and, secondly, to discover why some young people never started in this type of experience, in order to establish an educational philosophy that involves the physical and sport practice of young people and that they optimize both their beginning and their maintenance in this lifestyle. This research is based on methodological triangulation with quantitative techniques such as descriptive analysis of data collected through a questionnaire and qualitative techniques, such as content analysis of four focus groups. The lack of interest is set as the main barrier to start or stay in physical and sports practice both in students of secondary school and in college students. Therefore, certain education key are proposals to be considered at an early age, to increase motivation among the population, in general, and physically inactive youth in particular.

Resumen
The purpose of the present study was to analyze the relationship between the whole family attitudes, values and interests toward sport and physical activity, and the ones of the children of the family (boys and girls). 355 adolescents age 12 to 22 from the Spanish regions of Basque Country and Cantabria took part in the study. There were administered the Family Sports Environment Questionnaire along with the Physical Self-Concept Questionnaire Scores derived from the questionnaires show a relationship between a good family sports environment and a higher physical self-concept and a more frequent practice of sports in adolescents. Differences on the family sports environment have been found depending on the gender of the studied adolescent. Girls perceived a worse family sports environment than boys. Also different perceptions were noticed depending on the gender of the other children of the family: the boys of families who only have sons perceived more positive environment than the boys of families with children of both genders. The worst perceptions were the ones of the girls who were the only child or who only had female siblings.

Resumen
The main objective of this study is to announce to the specialized scientific community the modifications introduced by Royal Decree 1093/2011, of 3 September, which approved the minimum set of data of the clinical reports in the National Health System, and how it will affect mental health clinical histories. It has been developed by means of a thorough study of the main psychological and legal variables, reaching the conclusion that coordination and collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Consumption and the health authorities of the autonomous Regions will allow for the implantation of a compatible system of clinical histories that will enable their use by the assistance centers throughout the State. This will avoid duplicities in explorations and procedures which are required for diagnosis and treatment of any mental health patient.

Resumen
The aim of this paper is contributing to the proposition that a strategic teacher is a different and effective way to contribute to improving the classroom climate. An experimental situation was proposed to train a group of teachers in motivating teaching skills through learning strategies based on instruction, assessment, social skills and motivation. It was carried out by secondary teachers from several schools who taught classes to 264 high school students in first grade and 253 in third grade. The instrument used to measure the classroom climate was the Classroom Environment Scale (CES), taking six of the suggested variables: Involvement, Teacher support, Task orientation, Competition, Order and organization and Innovation. The results point out efficacy of the program in third grade in all the variables, compared to the results of first grade that only improve in Competition and Innovation. Regarding gender, no differences were found in first grade. However, there are more efficacy of the program in women of third grade in Self-efficacy of performance, just the opposite that in Involvement, Teacher Support and Order and Organization. With regard to grades, an improvement is produced in third grade in the variables of Involvement, Task orientation and Order and organization that doesn’t occur in first grade.

Resumen
The aim of this paper is to provide an account of the major demographic changes that Spain has undergone as a result of the considerable increase of foreign population over the last few years. Since the province of Almería qualifies as one where the presence of foreign population is stronger, it then seems adequate to conduct a socioeconomic study of the living conditions of this group in this city. To this purpose, we designed a questionnaire consisting of thirty questions divided into four subsections, in order to elicit primary, first-hand information on a number of foreigners based in Almería. Thus, drawing on the profile of each respondent, their nationalities as well as their geographical distribution by municipalities, we have gathered a representative sample of 220 surveys which has provided us with realistic insights into this quota. An important conclusion emerging from our study is that, although the results reported here are consistent with other national surveys that have been previously carried out, a number of significant differences have been pinpointed, especially regarding the volume of income as well as the housing characteristics of the productive sector in which the foreigners in question are employed.

Resumen
Emotional intelligence (IE), defined as the ability to perceive, use, understand and regulate emotions, has shown a positive influence on the people´s psychological and social adjustment in the specialized literature. However, most of the work has been carried out with adult samples and few investigations have examined this issue with adolescent population. The aim of this paper was to analyze the influence of emotional perception, an ability of EI, on the adolescent´s personal and social adjustment. A sample of 255 Spanish adolescents completed a maximum performance test of emotional perception and different scales measuring personal and social adjustment. Results of correlation and regression analyses showed that adolescents with higher ability to perceive emotions reported having better relationships with peers and parents, lower social stress, higher self-confidence and higher perceived competence. Moreover, emotional perception significantly predicted adolescents’ adjustment even when the effects of sex, age, and personality were controlled for. The findings suggest that emotional intelligence is a promising predictor of adolescent adjustment and may serve as a useful resource for preventive and treatment interventions.

Resumen
This work presents an approach aimed at modeling the sensemaking underlying psychological transition in an educational setting -though not confined to such types of setting. The psychological transition is understood as change that is to move from a state of psychological equilibrium (eg, identification with a certain vision of the world) to another. This approach is derived from our combined socio-constructivist and psychoanalytic standpoint. It distinguishes two levels of analysis: the representational content, and the shared latent affective dimension, the latter working as the symbolic frame of sensemaking. According to our model, psychological transition has to be defined as a change in the affective structure of sense. We present our theoretical model and a method of analysis following from it. In order to exemplify and to validate our approach, we examine the case of young people entering high school in Italian schools. This study depicts the students’ representations involved in role transition. It shows how, in spite of deep modifications of representations related to their entrance to the high school setting, the latent dimension of sensemaking does not change.

Resumen
With its Framework Programmes for Research, technological Development and Demonstration, the European Union set up – back in the year 1984 – what have become the largest, cooperative as well as competitive research & technology programmes worldwide. Oriented towards the objective of strengthening European competitiveness, the Framework Programmes have evolved into the flagship instrument contributing to the development of a European Research Area, a single European market to the world of Science & Technology – ensuring open and transparent “trade” in skills, ideas and know-how by creating a United Europe of research and innovation. Having brought together around 400.000 researchers teams, several of them repeatedly, from Europe and the world in funded projects, the impact of the Framework Programmes though goes far beyond just providing funding for these projects. Indeed, the key strength of the Framework Programmes is that they have nurtured a culture of cooperation between the best universities, companies, research organizations in Europe and beyond, thus bringing together different actors, sectors, cultures, gender, nationalities, etc. This capability of intercultural cooperation is what Europe has developed and professionalized for over 25 years, which nowadays provides European research communities with what is a key competitive asset and advantage: contributing to solving global challenges by international, thus intercultural cooperation of the best “brains” in science, technology and innovation

Resumen
What could be more antithetical than the alliance of the words “culture” and “political power”? Yet, for over fifty years, the process of European integration has been linking these opposing concepts: Europe, which is too often considered in economic terms, is first and foremost a cultural entity. European culture, ‘a sort of UFO’¹ for most Europeans has become a major political and philosophical issue. Given their political and strategic importance so-called ‘geo-cultural’ issues have been called upon to constitute, along with geopolitical and economic issues, a governance axis. The European Union’s current mode of cultural action, intrinsic to national policies, is unable to address these issues. Indeed the EU should completely rethink its conception and political implication of culture, and recognize its great importance, both for the success of European integration, and for the new civic relationships which are developing today in our local, national and global communities.
