Introduction: Tuberculous peritonitis originates through the dissemination of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the bloodstream, resulting in an infection of the abdominal lining. The spread of tuberculosis can occur in various ways, either through the dissemination of the bacteria by contiguous seeding, which implies that the infection originates from other places in the body where there is already an active infection. Usually, the pathological condition in question presents with symptoms that are not very specific, which can also be observed in other infectious or neoplastic diseases. This lack of specificity in the symptoms considerably complicates the process of differential diagnosis, making it more challenging to distinguish it from other disorders affecting the abdominal region. The manifestation of this condition is often insidious in nature, meaning that it presents subtly and inconspicuously. This becomes even more complicated in the context of chronic abdominal disorders, as is the case with liver cirrhosis which is associated with portal hypertension, which considerably hinders the diagnostic process. The arrival of the AIDS pandemic has led to a significant increase worldwide in the number of cases of tuberculosis, which manifests itself as the opportunistic infection most commonly associated with this public health situation. Clinical case: This is a 38-year-old man who, for the last 15 days, has been dealing with significant discomfort. This discomfort manifests itself through episodes of intermittent fever that can reach up to 39 degrees Celsius, being more pronounced in the afternoon hours. In addition, the patient experiences a general feeling of malaise and also has distension in the abdomen. Along with these symptoms, the individual feels a slight pain in the hypogastric region that has an oppressive character but does not radiate to other parts of the body.
Keywords: acute abdomen, infection, tuberculosis peritonitis.

Introduction: Suicide is defined as the deliberate and conscious act of a person intentionally ending their own life, resulting in their death. This process can be carried out by a variety of methods or means. The person who commits suicide often has two main purposes in mind. The first and most frequent aim of these intentions is to seek attention and to generate concern in their environment, which can include friends and family. On the other hand, the second intention that may be behind this painful act is the search to end their life, that is, to bring about death. In the field of psychiatric pathology, it is quite common for these types of incidents to occur. Among the different disorders that occur in this area, the one that manifests itself most frequently is mood disorder, which is followed, in order of prevalence, by addictions, psychotic disorders and eating disorders. Objective: to determine the psychiatric clinical reasons for a patient who attempted suicide by the measured administration of benzodiazepines. In addition, to provide clinical management of the same. Clinical case: a 17-year-old male patient is presented, who is found by his mother in his residential home, drowsy with an empty Lorazepam box at his side, approximately family estimates that he would have ingested a dose of 30 tablets, which is why she goes immediately. Diagnosis: psychiatric management shows a self-harm attempt with benzodiazepines and mood and eating disorders. Conclusion: The act of attempting to take one's own life represents one of the most serious and worrying challenges in the field of global health. One area where significant impact can be made is in the implementation of preventive measures against suicide. This can be achieved through the creation and use of protocols that have been designed by teams made up of professionals from various disciplines.

Introduction: Superior mesenteric artery syndrome, which presents as an uncommon cause of intestinal obstruction in the upper portion of the intestine, is recognized by various names. Some of these alternative names include the term Wilkie's syndrome, as well as the expression arteriomesenteric duodenal obstruction, and it is also known as chronic duodenal ileus, which reflects its complexity and the different ways in which it can manifest itself. It is mainly distinguished by the pressure exerted on the third section of the duodenum, which is the part of the small intestine that follows the second portion. This phenomenon occurs as a result of a constriction of the area between two important blood vessels: the superior mesenteric artery and the aorta. This situation is considered to be fundamentally linked to the reduction of the mesenteric fat pad, which normally acts as a shock absorber and provides structural support in that region of the abdomen. Clinical case: A 30-year-old male patient presents with a clinical picture that has developed over a period of three years and manifests itself as progressive weight loss. This phenomenon is accompanied by abdominal distension that occurs soon after meals.
Keywords: Wilkie syndrome, surgical pathology, abdominal pain.

Abstract
Introduction: Disseminated cutaneous leishmaniasis (DCL) is a rare and severe form of cutaneous leishmaniasis characterized by multiple lesions in various body segments and potential mucosal involvement. It presents a greater clinical and therapeutic burden than the localized cutaneous form. Clinical case: A 19-year-old male, resident in an endemic area, with a six-week history of generalized ulcerated papules and nodules, accompanied by asthenia and weight loss. Dermoscopy and imprint smear showed amastigotes; PCR identified Leishmania of the Viannia subgenus. The patient was treated with systemic doses of meglumine antimoniate, with partial clinical response; rescue therapy with liposomal amphotericin B and comprehensive management of cutaneous comorbidities was added. Conclusion: DCL requires parasitological confirmation, species identification when possible, and an intensive therapeutic approach, with close follow-up to prevent relapse and mucosal involvement.
Keywords: Cutaneous leishmaniasis; disseminated forms; Leishmania (Viannia); liposomal amphotericin B; meglumine antimoniate.

Introduction: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) represent a significant problem for nursing students and professionals, with a prevalence ranging from 46% to 97%. These disorders not only affect the quality of life of individuals, but also negatively impact the efficiency and quality of patient care. The high prevalence of MSDs in students suggests that risk factors are present from the early stages of training. Objective: To analyze the available evidence on the use of body mechanics to prevent musculoskeletal injuries in nursing students. Methodology: An exhaustive search was carried out in databases such as PubMed, CINAHL and Google Scholar, selecting studies from the last 5 years to ensure the timeliness of the evidence. The review was carried out following the PRISMA guidelines, including the use of the flowchart to document the study selection process and the checklist to ensure a rigorous and transparent methodology. Results: The most affected anatomical regions are the lumbar area, neck and shoulders. Risk factors identified include female sex, older age, poor posture, and repetitive movements. Body mechanics-based interventions, including ergonomic education and specific exercise programs, showed promising results in reducing musculoskeletal symptoms. Discussion: A high prevalence of MSDs in nursing is revealed, mainly affecting the lower back, neck, and shoulders. Body mechanics interventions show preventive potential, although a holistic approach and early integration into training are needed. Conclusion: It is concluded that body mechanics programs have considerable potential to reduce the risk of MSDs in nursing students. The integration of these programs into nursing curricula and addressing the barriers to their implementation in clinical practice is recommended.

Abstract
Today medicine advances according to the changes and innovations that are generated in different disciplines and thanks to technological advances. Radiological physics is oriented towards the use of organs and systems of the body. The objective of this research is to understand the relationship that exists between radiological physics and nuclear medicine for optimal diagnoses. The methodology used is bibliographic, since various texts, theses, electronic books, presentations, scientific articles, among other documents, were consulted through the use of the Google Scholar platform. The development of the research allowed us to understand that radiological physics refers to the equipment used to obtain images and nuclear medicine are the substances that injected into the patient allow for better visualization of the conditions and functioning of organs, for example. which are of vital importance to achieve optimal diagnoses and also to indicate more effective treatments.

The rapid transition to virtual education, driven by the pandemic, has forced both teachers and students to use home or extra-classroom spaces that are not ergonomically prepared, significantly increasing the risk of developing health problems, especially musculoskeletal disorders. This article focuses on analyzing the optimization of these spaces within the context of the Public Administration program at ESPAM MFL, from an ergonomic perspective. Through the application of analytical tools such as the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) and the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), the postures adopted and the working conditions present in these environments were evaluated, identifying various ergonomic risk factors that not only affect the physical health of users but also their academic performance. The survey was conducted on Google Form with 55 students in the first level of virtual public administration studies, April-August 2024 semester. The results obtained using Jamovi's statistical software highlight the urgent need to improve these work environments to reduce the risk of injury and other ergonomics-related problems. Practical recommendations are also proposed to optimize the design of workspaces and create a healthier and more productive environment for virtual teaching and learning.

This study evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of a photovoltaic microgenerator in Ecuador, tailored to the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. A Support Vector Machine (SVM) model was used to predict solar radiation, achieving metrics of precision (0.96), sensitivity (0.96), and accuracy (0.92). In the residential sector, the system requires 11.76 kW and 39 panels to meet a daily demand of 50 kWh, with an initial investment of $4,950 USD and an annual saving of $1,200 USD, reaching the break-even point in 4.12 years. In the commercial sector, 11.76 kW is needed for a similar daily demand, while in the industrial sector, 78.43 kW and 261 panels are required to cover 333.33 kWh/day. The developed tool optimizes system sizing, considering factors such as panel efficiency, battery capacity, inverter power, and days of autonomy. It also analyzes installation costs and return on investment, demonstrating that photovoltaic systems are cost-effective and reduce CO₂ emissions. The results highlight the feasibility of these systems to diversify Ecuador's energy matrix, maximizing economic and environmental benefits.
